Its very interesting to watch your children become themselves and make choices about their appearances.

Sweet! Her eyes look a little shiny... was it more painful than expected? I think my dd would be wailing!

Congrats!

Sam- Yes, she was surprised by how much it hurt. We tried (in vain it seems) to prepare her. She is very happy to have done it though.

Tabitha- We took her to a piercist that I trust. The needle method hurts more but it heals faster and is less likely to close up. Mar begged for months. We had originally intended to propose the idea around 7 or 8. We were won over by her persistence and the fact that she was making her own decision about her appearance.

Pam- Jori was the only place we considered.

I would still, at my age, cringe at the needle instead of the gun, the gun is so darn fast! I may chicken out on doing it again (any piercing that is) just cuz I know how bad it hurts! What a brave lil gal, what we as a species do for adornment/vanity, hehe!

I just had my lobes pierced (just like Amara's) at Jori's. I've had it done with a gun close to twenty times, and it NEVER heals right. But Jori was amazing and my ears are already almost all the way healed-after two weeks. Even though I've had other piercings for up to a year before, they have never once healed to this point. Hooray for the needle!

Amara was my inspiration :)

PS. when you called me the other day and I had to abruptly and awkwardly get off the phone, it's because I was mid-pierce, lol.

Kyla got ears done as a 10 year old Yule gift. We recently had a little mini shopping spree at Jori's to get her new ones and to stretch mine.
Fun Stuff!!!
