On this day meant for honoring mothers
my heart goes out to the mothers who aren't mothers yet, who were mothers for too short of a time, to those who's mother has passed, and to those who's mother was never really there. May your heart heal. May you feel loved and appreciated.

Very beautiful! I've read a few very thoughtful and thought provoking entries on this holiday.
Very sweet :) Monther's Day has evolved so much. Of course there are still Mattress Sales in the name of Mom's Day, and maybe it's just the economic situation right now, but it does feel like people are coming around a bit about the meaning of the day. Is it too much to hope that the same will happen with other holidays?
